Ellender lift bridge, 50 ft height clearance for this bridge. We are 47 ft which includes our antennas. The Bridge opens every 4 hours for taller traffic.

 

We had a bit of a scare when there was a loud bang from the bridge just as we got under it. The noise was from a car driving over the gap in the lift bridge. Whew!! Got our hearts pumping!!

Another beautiful marsh Anchorage with customary refinery.

 

As you can see, the ICW heads way inland around here. We are just south of Lake Charles.
