Leaving Galveston Bay

We left Kemah in no wind. The bay was empty and like glass. Got a nice reminder not to trust charts when I saw this, which was in Galveston Bay just a few hundred yards from the ship channel, but was not on my chart plotter at any zoom level.

Erika was happily steering as we passed the first of many shrimp fleets.

The long line of tow boats cruising the ICW. We are just east of Galveston.

Pretty boats.

Ended up at Stingaree marina, and had an excellent meal of shrimp 6 ways, crab cakes, and margaritas. Best of all, the engine performed flawlessly for six hours of hard motoring..

Scupper surveying his kingdom 😀
